Ms. Rebecca Fabian-Rosiles, known as Ms. Fabian, is an accomplished educator with over 20 years of experience teaching subjects such as Biology, Spanish, Spanish for Native Speakers, AP Spanish, and Forensic Science. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Foreign Languages with a minor in Biological Science from Northeastern Illinois University and a Master’s in Education from Chicago State University. Ms. Fabian is certified in Bilingual Education, Science, Foreign Language, and BCLAD.
Her teaching philosophy emphasizes a student-centered approach, active learning, and setting high expectations for both students and teachers. She believes in fostering scientific thinking, promoting scientific literacy, integrating science with other subjects, and utilizing assessments to support student learning.
Ms. Fabian engages her students through laboratories, research, and hands-on activities that make learning interactive and dynamic. Her favorite subjects to teach are Science and Spanish, and she incorporates digital tools and innovative practices, such as interactive software and online resources, to enhance her students' learning experiences. Ms. Fabian is also involved in extracurricular activities, such as the Book Club, and contributes to the school community by volunteering for events, mentoring students, and engaging in community service projects.
