Enas Makar is a passionate and committed educator at the Math/English Learning Center with 8 years of experience. She holds a Bachelor of Science from CSU-Dominguez Hills and a Master’s Degree in Educational Administration and Leadership from National University. Additionally, she has completed ELD Micro Credentialing through LAUSD.

 

Ms. Makar’s teaching philosophy is rooted in the belief that No Child is Left Behind and Every Student Succeeds, ensuring that each student receives the necessary support for success. She actively engages her students by introducing topics that are both age-appropriate and interesting, sparking constructive conversations in the classroom. To support student growth, she encourages her students to set SMART goals and work toward achieving both short-term and long-term milestones.

 

Her favorite subjects to teach are art, science, and math. One of her proudest projects is her Capstone, where she developed a health program that balanced effectiveness with a fit budget. Ms. Makar integrates technology into her teaching through platforms such as Schoology, IXL, and Google Slides, ensuring her students are prepared for the digital age.

 

Outside the classroom, Ms. Makar is actively involved in the school community. She serves as an advisor for the Class of 2025, participates in the Esports Club, and co-leads the Self-Care Club. Beyond school, her hobbies include drawing, painting, and knitting. She balances her professional life by spending quality time with family and friends on weekends.

 

One of Ms. Makar’s proudest moments in teaching was witnessing her struggling students graduate with their high school diplomas. Her future goals include completing her National Board teaching license. A fun fact about her is that she used to have a small turtle and a hermit crab as pets!
